Dr. Emily Berthelette, PT, DPT, CCFT, PhD(c)
Dr. Emily Berthelette, PT, DPT, CCFT, CCRP-p, is a physical therapist for both humans and canines, an educator, and clinical leader dedicated to advancing healthcare education. She most recently served as Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, and is the founder of Red Hot Rehab, where she specializes in training and rehabilitating high-level working dogs. A former Division I gymnast, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Hartford in 2011 and later completed nine marathons, including the 2013 Boston Marathon. After being diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 2020, she became an advocate for individuals with rare autoimmune diseases, promoting access to rehabilitative care that enhances function and quality of life. She lives with her husband and four dogs—three German Shepherds and one German Shorthaired Pointer.
